EMILY WRIGHT
Emily Wright is an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona majoring in journalism and religious studies. Her interests include exploring the intersections between religion and climate, sexuality, and community; unpacking wellness culture; and curating a new form of multimedia storytelling. Her ever-evolving interdisciplinary lens is taking shape for a future in graduate studies and work as a multimedia journalist.
Coming from a strong arts background, she finds it imperative that we navigate the sensitive topics of religion and the dissemination of information through the most human lens there is— art. Through scholarship and the creative processing of religious concepts, she deepens her understanding of the world around her and can unearth personal perceptions of religion.
As an Arizona native, she’s an unofficial kombucha taste tester, poetry lover, and devout oxford comma user.
